Location Miramar, Florida Summary The Multi-Modality Technologist I provides diagnostic imaging in multiple specialties in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. Spends a minimum of 25% of time practicing in secondary discipline. Responsibilities Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary. Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s) taking appropriate action to resolve image quality issues. Enters, transmits and reports scan results. Charges appropriately for all supplies used for procedure(s). Takes on call shift responsibilities as required by the department. Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation. Assists with preparation and administration of contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice. Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate. Competencies

Education and Certification Requirements Accredited Program: Imaging (Required) ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) BLS American Heart RQI E-Card (BLS AHA-RQI ECARD) BLS Certification Grace (BLS GRACE) BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC) Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT LICENSE) – State of Florida (FL) Additional Job Information Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, effective communication, decisive judgment, and the ability to build and foster positive relationships.
