Cook/Dietary AideFairway View Neighborhoods seeks a compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented Cook/Dietary Aide to join our Nutrition Services team. This role is responsible for preparing nutritious meals, serving residents, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting a positive dining experience for seniors residing in our long-term care community.The ideal candidate enjoys working with older adults, takes pride in providing high-quality meals, and understands the important role nutrition plays in resident health and well-beingKey Responsibilities:Prepare and cook meals according to established menus, recipes, and therapeutic diet requirementsDemonstrates understanding of procedures relating to food handling, dish washing, sanitizing work and eating surfacesPerforms dietary activities according to instructions and established procedures and state/federal regulationsHas working knowledge of diets, uses proper portions, garnishes and makes appropriate substitutionsEnsure food is prepared and served in an attractive, appetizing mannerMonitor portion control and food temperatures to maintain quality and safetyClean and sanitize dining rooms, kitchen surfaces, and food service equipment.Stock supplies and assist with kitchen organization.Hours and Pay:Regular Part Time (64 hours per 2 week pay period), every other weekend rotationFull benefits package (medical, dental, vision, HAS with employer match)PERA Retirement with employer matchEducation Assistance and Loan Forgiveness programHourly Rate: $21.00 - $26.65
