Radiology Tech - Cath Lab Tech

Echo/Cardiac Sonographer
Specialty certifications: ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) VS (Vascular Sonographer) RVT (Registered Vascular Tech) AE (adult echo) or PE (pediatric echo) would be a plus. Must be able to do standard and TEEs. Peds is a huge plus.
How many scanners/rooms does this department have? Two rooms and one holding area so can scan in three areas.
Will they have to float/cover any other areas? No - only Echos & TEEs.
Common types of imaging/studies performed and job duties: Experience or 'must have' skills. Average number of studies per day: 15-20 per day. EMR &/or PACS (Picture Archive & Communication System: software & hardware) do they use EPIC & PACS? Department specific equipment: Phillips Radiology. Supervisor or lead tech? No, the manager of cath lab. Do they use RRA's (Registered Radiology Assistants)? Radiologist in-house? Do they have to start IV's? (if applicable to the department) RN from cath lab will do (Cath, Echo, & Stress are in the same area. If need to do a stress echo they team up with the sonographer & do that).
Shifts & scheduling: Mon - Fri 8 AM - 4:30 PM, every third weekend and rotated through the week. Weekend requirement: Holiday requirement: Call or standby requirement?
