Banquet Server

The Banquet Server is responsible for providing professional, friendly, and efficient food and beverage service during weddings, conferences, meetings, private parties, and other catered events. This position helps ensure that guests have an enjoyable experience while maintaining high standards of service, cleanliness, and presentation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Setting up banquet rooms, tables, chairs, linens, place settings, and service stations.
• Greeting guests and providing courteous, attentive service throughout events.
• Serving food and beverages according to event specifications and service standards.
• Clearing dishes, glassware, and utensils efficiently while minimizing disruption to guests.
• Replenishing beverages, buffet items, and service supplies as needed.
• Assisting with buffet, plated, family-style, and cocktail-style service.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of dining and service areas.
• Following proper food-safety, sanitation, and alcohol-service procedures.
• Responding professionally to guest questions and requests.
• Assisting with event breakdown, cleaning, and storage of banquet equipment.
• Communicating effectively with the banquet captain, kitchen staff, bartenders, and event team.
• Performing other duties as assigned to support successful event operations.

Qualifications:

• Previous banquet, restaurant, catering, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Excellent customer-service and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Must be reliable and punctual.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout a shift.
• Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry trays, equipment, and supplies, typically up to 2550 pounds.
• Ability to safely navigate crowded event spaces while carrying food and beverages.
