Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized emergency care to diverse patient populations in a high-volume Level 2 trauma and comprehensive stroke center. Deliver quality patient-centered services while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and prioritize patient needs upon arrival, using established triage protocols.
• Administer emergency treatments and medications following hospital guidelines and clinical standards.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately in Cerner system.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes and coordinate care delivery.
• Maintain preparedness for procedures and patient management using advanced equipment such as GE monitors and Baxter pumps.
• Uphold hospital policies on documentation, patient safety, and respectful communication, including AIDET and cultural sensitivity.

Qualifications:

• Active registered nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Level 2 trauma, stroke, or high-volume emergency department.
• Previous experience working in a comparable high-acuity ED setting, preferably with HCA.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, give feedback, and work effectively within a team.
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, ENPC within 90 days of hire.
• Flexible to work all areas of the ED and available for every other weekend shifts.
