Both matters.Diligence - Remember that any meaningful goal is achieved through dogged persistence and staying engaged.Teamwork - We are a team that needs each member's contribution to achieve our mission.Job Summary: The Heavy Duty Mechanic is responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on diesel-powered equipment, including cranes, forklifts, tractor trailers, and other heavy equipment. This role troubleshoots and repairs diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical and onboard computer systems, brakes, booms, outriggers, pumps, and other mechanical components. The Mechanic works closely with equipment operators and fellow mechanics to identify issues, complete repairs, and help ensure equipment remains safe, reliable, and ready for operation.Responsibilities:Responsible for performing PM and corrective maintenance on diesel engines, booms, electrical systems (including troubleshooting onboard computer systems), hydraulic systems (booms, outriggers, pumps), brakes and other basic componentsMust have the ability to work on hydraulic and conventional cranes, forklifts, tractor trailers and miscellaneous equipmentMust work well and communicate effectively with operators and other mechanicsPosition will manage branch resources throughout the maintenance lifecycleWork Environment:Construction sites, industrial facilities, and maintenance shops.Exposure to outdoor elements, loud noises, and heavy machinery.Requires standing, climbing, bending, and lifting heavy materials.May require overtime, weekend work, or travel to different job sites.ProLift Rigging Offers:Competitive salaryBonus program that pays for performance401(k)Medical, Dental, and Vision coverageVacation and Holiday PayDisability InsuranceLife InsuranceOther additional personal and professional benefits are available.Required Qualifications:Minimum of 3 years' experience in diesel maintenance with proven troubleshooting skillsMust work safely in a fast-paced environment – many times under pressureExperienced with Cummins and CAT diesel engines and systemsExperience in gasoline and propane enginesProven ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematicsMust have current CDLCreative thinking skills to make continuous improvementsWilling to work day and or night shifts, weekends and holidaysMust pass drug test, fit for duty test and background checkHave basic computer skills, Excel skills, and the ability to work with digital record keepingEOE/AA Minority/Female/Disability/Veteran
