Description

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a busy acute care hospital OR position offering day shifts.

Details

Acute care hospital operating room with 16 suites averaging 30 cases per day.

Common cases include General, Ortho, Robotics, Neuro, Spine, Urology, and ENT.

Day shift schedule, 12-hour shifts from 6:30am-7pm, set schedule with option to block.

Approximately 120 hours of call per contract, self-scheduled between weekdays and weekends.

One weekend call shift required per 6 weeks; holiday call preferred but not required.

Call response time of 30 minutes with an on-site sleep room available if needed.

No routine floating required, though float within Zone 1 (PEN, SFH, SFI, SMC, STM) may occur in extreme circumstances.

Uses EPIC EMR system.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.

BLS certification (AHA).

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential via NBSTSA.

Experience in General, Neuro, and Robotics surgical cases required.

Colorado DORA license required if applicable.

Active state licensure required at time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted.

Driver's license copy required for consideration.

Additional Information

Support surgical procedures across a wide range of specialties including General, Ortho, Robotics, Neuro, Spine, Urology, and ENT.

Scrubs are provided by the facility.

One week of unit-specific orientation required, with 12 hours of general orientation.

Clinicians must be in-state for orientation week, though first-day modules may be completed remotely.

Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel positions.

Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked.
