Job Title: Registered Nurse - PCU Profession: RN Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 - 19:15 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: NIHSS, BLS, ALS Must-Have: Telemetry experience Description: This position is for an acute care unit with 25 inpatient beds, expandable to 27 with additional patient holds. The unit is staffed with a Day Shift Charge Nurse, 4-5 Registered Nurses, and 2-3 Patient Care Technicians/Health Unit Coordinators. On the Night Shift, there is a Charge Nurse, 4-5 Registered Nurses, and 2-3 Patient Care Technicians. The patient-to-nurse ratio is managed to ensure quality care. The unit is equipped with BiPAP, Vapotherm, lifts, Baxter pumps, telemetry, and continuous oxygen. The electronic medical record system used is Cerner. Candidates must possess strong communication skills and be team-oriented. Wound care is a standard procedure performed on this unit. Flexibility with scheduling is required, including rotating weekends. This position is a backfill for a previous staff member.
