• Seeking a board certified interventional cardiologist

• Open to candidates with an active Pennsylvania license, IMLC physicians, and providers who need to obtain a Pennsylvania license

• Flexible scheduling available - candidate presentations should clearly indicate which coverage option the physician is available to work:

  • 24-hour call coverage Thursday through Monday morning

  • 24-hour call coverage Friday through Monday morning

• If the locum begins coverage at 7:00 AM on Thursday or Friday, responsibilities will include scheduled cases, inpatient/outpatient coverage, non-invasive reading, and cath lab coverage

• Current need is approximately 3 weekends per month of STEMI call coverage

• Additional coverage of 1-2 days per week may also be available

• Night call: 5:00 PM-7:00 AM

• 24-hour call: 7:00 AM-7:00 AM

• Average of approximately 0-2 calls per 24-hour shift

• 30-minute response time required

• Must be able to arrive within 30 minutes for STEMI

• General cardiology call is separate from interventional cardiology call

• APP/mid-level support: 8:00 AM-4:00 PM

• Average inpatient volume: approximately 2-4 patients per day

• Average outpatient volume: approximately 2-3 patients per day

• Typical work includes cardiac catheterization cases, including diagnostic procedures and PCI

• Facility does not have cardiac surgery backup

• Procedures include:

  • Diagnostic and coronary catheterizations

  • PCI

  • TEE

  • Cardioversion

  • Temporary pacemaker placement

• Typical cases primarily involve coronary disease

• EMR: Cerner
