Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve communication, swallowing function, and overall quality of life. Perform bedside swallow evaluations, establish safe diet recommendations, and coordinate with dietitians and nurses on feeding plans. Provide direct therapy and supervise care activities as clinically appropriate; document progress and adjust plans as needed. Participate in interdisciplinary team rounds and discharge planning; communicate findings and recommendations to families and care partners. Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record and ensure compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements. Requirements Active Speech‑Language Pathologist license to practice in Rhode Island or eligibility to obtain licensure. Master's degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited program. Experience in acute care and/or long‑term care settings preferred; strong collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Ability to work in a nursing home setting, manage a caseload, and adapt therapy to residents with diverse needs. Effective communication skills, professional clinical judgment, and ability to document clearly and concisely. Eligibility for travel assignments and ability to meet assignment start date and duration.
