Instrumentation & Electrical TechnicianLocation: Freeport, TXSalary: $80,000 - $108,000 Schedule: 4-10'sFocus: The I&E Technician will be responsible for applying technical expertise daily to ensure the safe and reliable operation of site equipment and to reduce operating costs by executing assigned work according to plan and schedule, noting any job plan deviations, and providing input on improvement opportunities. The I&E Technician will collaborate with reliability teams to identify and implement reliability driven improvements and committees dealing with investigations, policy, and procedure development.I&E Technician Essential Job FunctionsTroubleshoots, improves, repairs malfunctions, and documents failure analysis of I&E equipmentSets up and calibrates, tests, measures, and repairs all types of electrical controls, instruments, and electronic variablesActively participates in the implementation of the Maintenance Work Process for I&E workAssists PPM Coordinator and ME role in defining appropriate electrical spare parts neededUpdates and follows daily maintenance scheduleMaintains accurate records including calibrations, electrical one-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, and P&IDsSupports Root Cause Failure Analysis for I&E componentsI&E Technician Minimum RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalentMust meet one of the following experience and/or education requirements: 3 years of experience as an Instrument or Electrical Technician in an Industrial and/or Chemical Process Environment; ORCompleted Associates of Applied Science degree* in Instrumentation Technology, Industrial Electricity or related disciplineUnderstanding of U.P.S. and battery systems, high voltage breakers, and distribution systems preferredWorking knowledge of Heat Tracing Systems, Instrument and Process Controls (Mod5, ABB, Delta V) preferredFamiliar with Bentley Nevada vibration instrumentation and variable speed drives preferredForeman experience preferredGood working knowledge of Excel, Word, and SAP preferredAbility to work effectively both individually and in a team environmentMust be willing to make call outs and work overtime per plant needsMust possess a valid US Driver's License and be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)Prior Olin experience in a related role preferredAll In With Olin Olin is a global leader in chemical manufacturing and ammunition, with a legacy built on innovation, safety, and accountability.
