Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Tele

Job Summary:
Seeking a qualified Level I Emergency Department Registered Nurse experienced in Medical Surgical and Telemetry to provide acute care for patients awaiting admission or in designated areas. The ideal candidate will adapt to fluctuating clinical assignments in a fast-paced emergency environment, ensuring quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patients admitted or waiting in the ED, including hallway patients and those in designated beds.
• Collaborate with care teams to prioritize patient needs and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Float within scope to support various units, including acute care areas, as needed.
• Document patient conditions, treatments, and critical information accurately and promptly.
• Adhere to facility protocols, including completing required modules and compliance documentation on schedule.
• Work every other weekend, some holidays, and night shifts (3x12 hours), maintaining flexibility for shift and schedule adjustments.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid license in good standing for the state of employment.
• Possess at least 2 years of Emergency Department experience, with acute care and MS Tele skills.
• Current ACLS certification required.
• Demonstrate ability to work independently and collaboratively in high-pressure settings.
• Be willing to float within scope and work during flexible hours, including holidays.
• Favorably considered if within a 25-mile radius or if local.
