Business Analyst (JN -082026-427911) Houston, Texas Salary: USD43.64 - USD52.58 per hour Title: Business Analyst Duration: Contract-to-Hire Location: Houston, TX (Primarily Remote; Local Houston Area Candidates Preferred) Pay Range: $78,897 - $95,056 Annually ($43.64 - $52.58/hr) No C2C or Third-Party Candidates Summary We are seeking a Business Analyst to serve as a strategic liaison between business stakeholders, customers, program leadership, and software development teams. This role will be responsible for identifying business needs, analyzing processes, gathering requirements, evaluating solutions, and supporting the successful delivery of technology initiatives. The ideal candidate has experience working in Agile environments, translating business objectives into technical requirements, managing multiple priorities, and collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Responsibilities Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and technical requirements. Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and discovery sessions to identify business needs and process improvements. Develop user stories, use cases, workflows, process maps, and acceptance criteria. Serve as the liaison between business stakeholders and software development teams. Partner with developers, engineers, and project teams to ensure solutions align with business objectives. Perform gap analysis and evaluate opportunities for product, process, and system enhancements. Support planning and coordination of multiple projects, including timelines, risks, dependencies, and resource impacts. Facilitate project meetings, requirements reviews, and solution discussions. Track project status and communicate updates, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders. Support testing, user acceptance activities, and solution validation. Assist with change management, implementation planning, training, and adoption efforts. Develop reports, presentations, dashboards, and documentation to support decision-making and project execution. Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and enhance customer experience. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Project Management, or related field preferred. 3+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Product Analysis, Project Management, or Technology Implementation. Experience gathering and translating business requirements into technical requirements and user stories. Experience supporting enterprise software, SaaS platforms, business applications, or technology-enabled solutions. Experience working in Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or similar development environments. Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, or similar project management tools. Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to effectively collaborate with business leaders, technical teams, and external stakeholders. Experience managing multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously. Preferred Qualifications PMP, CAPM, CBAP, PMI-PBA, or similar certification. Experience supporting software implementations, integrations, or modernization initiatives. Knowledge of APIs, data integrations, and enterprise technology environments. Experience in customer-facing technology or software organizations. Previous project leadership or team leadership experience.
