Responsibilities Implement occupational therapy programs and activities for patients. Follow developed recovery plans and deliver therapy treatments. Address the whole patient, treating each as an individual and working to restore, reinforce, and enhance physical abilities and independence. Adapt to patient needs and maintain a joyful, varied approach to work across different settings. Collaborate with peers and make referrals to ensure patients receive the best comprehensive care. Put patients first by ensuring that they and their families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program according to AOTA & ACOTE standards. Initial certification obtained from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state of practice.
