Role Overview Provide therapeutic, educational, and crisis interventions for pediatric patients and their families, including needs assessment and developmental screenings. Assist with supervision of playrooms and ensure adherence to hospital policies. Conduct psychosocial assessments, develop therapeutic programs, and advocate for patient rights. Assist with supervision of playrooms and ensure adherence to hospital policies. Conduct psychosocial assessments, develop therapeutic programs, and advocate for patient rights. Key Responsibilities Enhance professional growth through ongoing education and participation in meetings and committees. Document patient care and program activities in compliance with standards. Coordinate referrals and provide information resources to patients, families, and healthcare teams. Assess emotional and psychosocial needs, plan interventions, and supervise play and therapy sessions. Develop behavioral pain management techniques and support coping strategies for grief and illness. Respond promptly to clinical consults, report observations, and participate in project development. Uphold patient safety protocols, identify risks, and promote active patient participation in care. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree with Child Life internship experience; Master’s degree preferred. Child Life Certification within one year; CPR/BLS certification required. Experience in pediatric psychosocial support and bilingual abilities are advantageous. Strong communication, advocacy, and team collaboration skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
