Details trauma center Emergency Department with 48 beds and flex space Patient population includes ESRD, cirrhosis, COPD, and psychiatric cases Common diagnoses include ESRD, substance abuse disorders, psychological disorders, COPD, CHF, abdominal pain, and chest pain Patient ratios are 4:1 in the Main ED and 6:1 in Fast Track Utilizes Zoll Defibrillator, Level One Blood Transfuser, QinFlow Blood Warmer, Hospira Plum360, Freestyle and iStat POC, and Ultrasound Guided IV equipment Uses Cerner EHR Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM Minimum of two weekends required per schedule No call requirements No floating requirements Unit utilizes a team nursing and Pod System with a dedicated Social Worker and Unit Educator Requirements Active RN license (New Mexico or Compact) required Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC (must be AHA-issued) Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required RN ADN education required Experience with trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and moderate sedation required Additional Information Provide emergency care across a broad patient population including trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and psychiatric cases Work within a Level III trauma center that receives Level I, II, and III trauma cases via air transport due to facility location Supported by a Unit Educator and dedicated Social Worker within the department 13-week assignment length American Traveler Job ID P-741994.
