Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12-Hour Days Hours per Shift: 7 a.m., 11 a.m., or 12 Noon start time Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Active Nursing License in good standing Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Experience in Emergency Department - Ability to read strips - Proficient in handling drips and ventilators - Weekend requirement: Yes, every other weekend - Holiday requirement: Yes, rotating Description: This position requires a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room. The unit has 25 beds plus additional hall spaces. Nurse to patient ratios are 1:3 to 1:5. Nurses will be responsible for caring for patients of all ages. Common diagnoses may include a wide range of emergency situations. The applicant must be knowledgeable in emergency protocols and procedures. Floating is not a requirement for this position. Charting will be done using an electronic records system. Nurses will be expected to work collaboratively with the charge nurse and nurse aides. The facility operates 24/7 with various support staff available. Weekend and holiday shifts are mandatory. It is essential that candidates provide all requests for time off upon application submission.
