Job Summary:

The Cardiac Catheterization Technologist position is located in Bloomington, Illinois. This role involves supporting cardiac catheterization procedures within an acute care setting. Candidates are required to bring their active Illinois license on the first day of work.

Job Details:

• Location: Bloomington, Illinois
• Shift: 8-hour shifts, 0700-1530, with shifts structured as four 9-hour days per week
• Schedule: Days, 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Active Illinois license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated; recent experience with heart catheterizations and peripheral catheterizations; certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association; minimum of 0 years of experience; must have passed the last four digits of SSN, middle initial, and requested time off during submission; compliance with OSF policy including a negative drug screen for all panels; ability to produce a negative drug screen for all panels.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Philips monitoring equipment and McKesson in the labs, including BiPlane capability, with EMR experience using Epic.
• Schedule: 8-hour shifts from 0700 to 1530; on-call duties 2-3 nights per week, every 3rd weekend, and 2-3 holidays per year.
• Additional Information: The unit includes 2 labs, 1 hybrid room, and a 6-bed recovery area. Approximately 5 cases are performed daily. Certification and recent hands-on experience are essential, particularly with heart caths and peripheral caths. The orientation consists of 32 hours spread over 4 shifts. Cancellation policy requires 12 hours notice every 13 weeks. The charting system used is Epic. The unit is Trauma Level 2 and handles acute division cases.
