Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM) | 12-Hour Shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 12-bed ICU with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio on night shift
• Manage and monitor patients with conditions including pneumonia, ARDS, DKA, sepsis, CVA post-tPA, renal failure, ETOH/OD, and post-cardiac intervention cases
• Administer and titrate critical care drips including Amiodarone, Levophed, Propofol, Fentanyl, Precedex, Heparin (weight-based), and others
• Operate and monitor ICU equipment including ventilators, arterial lines, and IABP; apply hypothermia protocol as needed
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Respiratory Therapists (24/7 on unit), Patient Care Technicians, and Health Unit Secretaries
• Float to Emergency Department or Medical-Surgical unit when needed, based on experience

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Proficiency with basic ICU equipment including ventilators and arterial lines
• Experience with cardiac cases such as STEMIs, Left Heart Caths, Coronary Interventions, and temporary pacemaker insertion
• Ability to work a minimum of 3 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Familiarity with IABP management and hypothermia protocols
• Experience with cardiology hemodynamic monitoring systems and C-Arm equipment
• Background in Emergency Department or Medical-Surgical nursing for float coverage
