Facilities Manager

The Facilities Manager is responsible for ensuring the maintenance, safety, appearance, and reliable operation of European Wax Center's multi-state corporate portfolio. This role oversees preventive and reactive maintenance, vendor relationships, facility budgets, compliance, emergencies, and capital projects while partnering closely with Operations, Real Estate, Construction, Finance, landlords, and Center Managers. The Facilities Manager will establish consistent facility standards, drive timely issue resolution, and develop processes that improve operational efficiency and reduce recurring and unplanned costs. Success in this role will help ensure corporate locations remain safe, functional, well-maintained, and aligned with business needs.

A Day in the Life

• Manage facilities and maintenance operations across multiple corporate locations and states, ensuring consistent standards for safety, cleanliness, appearance, and functionality.
• Lead preventive and reactive maintenance programs, inspections, repairs, and service activities to maximize facility uptime and minimize disruptions.
• Coordinate HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, security, pest control, janitorial, and general building repairs and maintenance.
• Manage, negotiate, and evaluate contractors and service vendors, holding partners accountable for service levels, quality, timelines, and cost.
• Track work orders, invoices, warranties, equipment records, service levels, and maintenance history to ensure accurate and timely facility management.
• Partner with landlords, property managers, and internal stakeholders to clarify maintenance responsibilities, resolve facility issues, and support lease-related obligations.
• Monitor facility budgets, expenses, cost savings, and vendor performance while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and control costs.
• Support new openings, remodels, relocations, refreshes, and capital projects by coordinating facility-related requirements, vendors, timelines, and execution.
• Provide R&M and facilities support to franchisees, including developing and maintaining job aids, resources, and tools to enable effective execution and issue resolution.
• Coordinate inspections, permits, life-safety requirements, and other facility compliance activities while supporting emergency response and business-continuity efforts.
• Communicate facility priorities, issues, costs, timelines, and project status to leadership and field teams, while developing processes to reduce recurring issues and unplanned expenses.

What Sets You Apart

• Demonstrated experience managing facilities, maintenance, property operations, construction, or related services across multiple locations.
• Strong vendor and contractor management capabilities, including the ability to evaluate performance, negotiate services, manage costs, and hold partners accountable.
• Working knowledge of building systems and maintenance requirements, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, security, and general facility systems.
• Experience managing both preventive and reactive maintenance programs, inspections, work orders, repairs, and service schedules.
• Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple locations while maintaining strong organization, follow-through, and attention to detail.
• Strong project management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to coordinate repairs, capital projects, openings, remodels, and other facility initiatives.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate facility issues, costs, priorities, and timelines to leadership, field teams, vendors, landlords, and other stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze facility expenses, vendor performance, and recurring issues to identify cost-saving and process-improvement opportunities.
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly to corporate locations.
• Experience in a multi-site, multi-state environment and customer-facing industry is preferred.

Education and Experience

• 5+ years of experience in facilities management, property management, maintenance, construction, retail operations, or a related field.
• Experience managing facilities or maintenance across multiple locations; multi-state experience is preferred.
• Experience managing contractors, service providers, vendors, work orders, maintenance programs, and facility-related expenses.
• Equivalent combinations of education and relevant professional experience may be considered where appropriate.
