Job Summary

Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical-Surgical Floor, Wisconsin Rapids. The position provides inpatient support to adult patients with medical and neurological conditions, including respiratory illnesses, stroke, seizure disorders, diabetes, renal failure, sepsis, and wound care. The role supports daily patient care activities, monitoring, mobility, safety, and collaboration with the clinical team.

Job Details

• Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts with variable day and night assignments; 36 hours per week. Weekend and holiday rotation is required every other occurrence. The assignment begins 11/16/2026 and runs for 13 weeks.
• Required Qualifications: Wisconsin Certified Nursing Assistant license; American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; high school diploma, General Educational Development (GED) credential, or official transcripts; at least 1 year of short-term acute care inpatient experience; Epic experience.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, obtaining full vital signs, point-of-care blood glucose testing, Foley catheter care, bladder scanning, peripheral intravenous removal, ostomy care, one-to-one sitter assignments, lift equipment operation, postmortem care, occupied bed changes, support of Behavioral Health (BH) and withdrawal patients, donning and doffing personal protective equipment, telemetry lead placement, strict intake and output monitoring, ambulation assistance, drain and chest tube care, walker assistance, and gait belt use. The position serves adult medical-surgical patients and requires resilience, flexibility, timely task completion, independent work, collaboration, and a positive attitude. Float coverage may include other inpatient units as needed.
