Key Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients, delivering competent nursing care across a range of simple to complex health conditions.
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; note all changes in physician orders for assigned patients.
• Obtain and monitor physiological data, observe patient manifestations, and intervene as necessary.
• Administer medications as prescribed; initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products.
• Interact with patients and families to communicate the care plan during hospitalization and at discharge, and make referrals to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Delegate tasks to support staff and assist physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
• Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Current ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration certification from the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS).
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate from the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS).

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher from a board-approved program.
• Strong ability to respond effectively to the cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.
