This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Medical Writer based in India.

As a Medical Writer, you'll create high-quality medical and scientific documentation supporting clinical research and drug development activities. You'll take ownership of assigned documents from planning and coordination through drafting, review, and final delivery. Working with internal teams and external clients, you'll translate complex clinical data into clear, accurate, and concise content. Your work may span clinical study reports, study protocols, and other regulatory and scientific documents. You'll contribute to quality, consistency, and compliance while supporting efficient project delivery. The role combines scientific expertise, strong writing skills, attention to detail, and effective stakeholder collaboration. Accountabilities:

• Serve as a primary author for routine medical and scientific documents, including clinical study reports, study protocols, and clinical data summaries.
• Support the development of more complex clinical, scientific, and programme-level documents, such as Investigator's Brochures, INDs, and MAAs.
• Review, interpret, and present complex clinical and scientific data accurately, concisely, and in a way that is appropriate for the intended audience.
• Ensure assigned documents comply with applicable quality processes, standards, templates, and project requirements.
• Apply strong grammatical, editorial, proofreading, and scientific writing skills to produce clear and accurate final deliverables.
• Support programme management activities, including contributing to timelines, budgets, forecasts, and planning for assigned deliverables.
• Work effectively with internal teams, external clients, and project stakeholders to coordinate deliverables and resolve documentation requirements.
• Represent the medical writing function at project launch meetings, review meetings, and broader project team discussions.
• Apply knowledge of regulatory documentation and the drug development process when preparing and reviewing assigned materials.
• Contribute to identifying effective methods, processes, and best practices that improve quality and operational efficiency.
• Work with client templates, document management systems, and relevant applications to maintain accurate and organised project documentation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or an equivalent relevant academic or vocational qualification.
• 3+ years of relevant professional experience demonstrating the knowledge and capabilities required for medical writing activities.
• Experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, clinical research, or CRO industry is preferred.
• Previous experience in medical or scientific writing is advantageous, with strong grammar, editorial, and proofreading capabilities.
• Ability to understand, analyse, and communicate complex clinical or scientific data accurately and concisely.
• Good understanding of regulatory documentation and the drug development process.
• Strong administrative, organisational, planning, and prioritisation skills, combined with a high level of attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt content and communication to different stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative while contributing effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Good judgement, decision-making skills, and the ability to identify and address issues appropriately.
• Good computer literacy and experience working with client templates, document management systems, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other relevant applications.
• Strong commitment to accuracy, consistency, compliance, and the delivery of high-quality documentation.
• Willingness to accommodate occasional extended or varied working hours and, where required, limited domestic or international travel.
