The company values hospitality, wine education, and creating memorable experiences for visitors. Role Description This part-time, on-site Tasting Room Associate role is based in Juliaetta, ID. The Tasting Room Associate will greet guests, lead wine tastings, and provide detailed information about the winery’s offerings, winemaking practices, and local region. Day-to-day tasks include answering questions, processing sales transactions, maintaining a clean and organized tasting room, and restocking merchandise and wine inventory. The role also involves promoting wine club memberships, assisting with small events or special tastings, and ensuring guests receive attentive, high-quality service. The associate will work collaboratively with the team, follow responsible serving guidelines, and represent the winery’s brand and values at all times. Qualifications Wine education and product knowledge skills, with the ability to learn and communicate tasting notes and winemaking processes. Wine sales and basic point-of-sale skills, including upselling, handling cash and card transactions, and promoting wine club memberships. Strong interpersonal skills and communication abilities to engage diverse guests and provide clear, friendly explanations. Customer service skills focused on hospitality, problem-solving, and creating positive guest experiences. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move cases of wine as needed, and maintain a tidy, professional workspace. Reliability in scheduling, including availability on weekends and peak visitor times. Previous experience in hospitality, retail, or food and beverage service is beneficial but not required.
