Clinical Pharmacist | Pineville, Louisiana

A contract role is available for a Clinical Pharmacist to support a community hospital with over 200 beds in the Alexandria, LA area. This position offers an opportunity to apply your clinical expertise in a dynamic hospital setting, working closely with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.


Location:

• Alexandria, LA (flexible to travel or relocate)

Schedule:

• 4 ten-hour shifts per week
• Rotating schedule with varying shift times: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, or 12:30 PM - 11:00 PM
• Every other weekend on call

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and thoroughly
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow and accuracy
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to provide clinical consultations
• Conduct pharmacokinetic monitoring and assessments
• Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems for managing medication orders and inventory

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active pharmacist license in the state of Louisiana
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Strong experience in clinical pharmacy within hospital settings
• Skilled in order verification and clinical consultations
• Proficiency with EPIC and Pyxis IT systems
• Excellent communication and supervisory skills
