Registered Nurse Radiation Oncology

Job Description Full Time Position, Tuesday – Friday covering Utah Valley Hospital and Saratoga Springs Clinics. The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care of patients. Position Details Full Time, Tuesday – Friday 7:00 – 5:30. Radiation Oncology covering Utah Valley Hospital and Saratoga Springs Clinic. Minimum Qualifications Current RN License in the state of practice. Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers. Unit specific certification as required (e.g., ACLS, PALS, etc.). Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. RNs with less than 12 months of working experience as an RN prior to joining Intermountain must obtain their BSN within five years of their start date. RNs with more than 12 months of working experience hired or promoted into this role need to have or obtain their BSN within three years of hire or promotion. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution. Responsibilities Assessment: Perform appropriate assessment of physical, social, and psychological status (including cognitive, communicative and developmental skills as appropriate) and seek and evaluate information from the interdisciplinary team. Plan: Use assessment information and critical thinking skills to collaboratively develop individualized plan of care, involving patient, family and team. Implement: Direct the interdisciplinary care team via delegation, coordination and collaboration; provide or delegate care consistent with plan of care, guidelines and licensure provisions. Evaluate: Evaluate patient response to interventions, review achievement of goals and clinical outcomes, revise plan of care as indicated. Professionalism: Promote nursing profession, participate in development of others, integrate legal and ethical standards, maintain accurate documentation and understand legal implications of care delivery. Physical Demands Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients and visitors requiring verbal communication and quick reaction. Manual dexterity required for operating monitors, manipulating equipment, typing, medication preparation. Expected to lift, bend, carry supplies and equipment, up to heavy items. Need to walk, assist with transporting patients, pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment. May be required to stand in a stationary position for extended periods. Location & Schedule Location: Intermountain Health Utah Valley Hospital, Provo, Utah. Weekday schedule: Tuesday – Friday 7:00 – 5:30. Compensation The hourly range for this position is $40.39 – $60.96. Actual hourly rate is dependent upon experience.
