Night Float Anesthesiologist Opportunity

Join a collaborative team with access to the latest technology at nationally recognized Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, VA. This short-term acute care hospital with 300 beds is a voluntary nonprofit and a member of Riverside Health System. The hospital features a neonatal intensive care unit with 21 beds and neonatologists located on-site. Our practice operates under a collaborative care team model, focusing on giving everyone a voice, while supporting, respecting, and helping them to deliver care excellence.

Case Assignments

• Schedule: Monday-Sunday - 7:00 PM-7:00 AM - 1 week on, 1 week off
• Diverse and challenging case mix includes general, endo, vascular, neuro, radiology, vascular, thoracic, urology, cardiac, bariatric, orthopedic, plastics ENT, OB, and GYN.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across surgical procedures
• Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtain informed consent
• Develop and discuss anesthetic plans with patients
• Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition and perform interventions as needed
• Support departmental coordination and clinical leadership

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Completion of Anesthesiology Residency
• Board Eligible or Board Certified
• Current medical licensure
• ECFMG/FLEX (if applicable)
