Respiratory Therapist

Role Overview The Respiratory Therapist provides critical respiratory care by assessing patients, developing, implementing, and evaluating care plans, and administering medications as prescribed. They serve as a clinical resource, offering patient, family, and caregiver education, and collaborate with healthcare teams to improve care delivery. The role includes providing clinical leadership and supporting lifelong learning. Key Responsibilities Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans Implement and evaluate care strategies Administer prescribed medications, including respiratory treatments Educate patients, families, and team members on health topics Participate in quality improvement activities Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams Provide clinical leadership and support ongoing professional development Achieve assigned goals and contribute to patient outcomes Qualifications & Skills Current state license and RRT credential as per NBRC requirements Recent clinical experience in hospital, home care, or skilled nursing settings Successful completion of hospital and departmental orientation Proficiency in computer use (Windows and Microsoft Office) CPR certification within 14 days of hire; ACLS, PALS, NRP preferred Strong critical thinking, communication, and collaborative skills #J-18808-Ljbffr CARIN Alliance
