Surgical Technician (Bethesda Day Shift)

Position: Surgical Technician Location Bethesda, MD Schedule Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM No weekends, no holidays, no call 8‑week contract Pay Rate $48 per hour Experience required Spine, ophthalmology, urology, breast surgery, interventional cardiology, orthopedic surgery, otolaryngology, pain management, plastic/reconstructive surgery, and podiatry Responsibilities Perform all patient care activities as defined in the skills competency model with compassion, dignity, and respect. Maintain aseptic technique 100% of the time. Demonstrate proficiency in gowning and gloving. Consistently prepare appropriate supplies and equipment based upon procedural and/or surgeon preference list. Check equipment and instrumentation for proper function prior to procedure. Perform as first scrub. Prepare room for next patient. Prepare instruments for decontamination. Maintain a safe and clean environment 100% of the time. Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent. BLS CPR certification required. Completion of a Surgical Technologist training program including clinical experience. Minimum of 2 years experience as a Surgical Technician. Certified by The Association of Surgical Technologists, The National Board of Surgical Technology, or The Surgical Assisting Liaison Council Certificate of Surgical Technology is preferred.
