Job Title: WB Team LeaderClassification: Non-ExemptSupervisor: Operations Partner, Assistant ManagerManagerially Responsible For: Assists with supervising Team MembersPosition Overview (Role):The Team Leader at Whataburger-Vibe Restaurants will work closely with Restaurant Managers to ensure all operating procedures are followed. You will also assist with scheduling, training, and supervising team members to guarantee every customer receives a hot, freshly prepared product in a clean, friendly environment.Essential Job Functions:Deliver Shift ExecutionOwn Shift OperationsOpen/Close RestaurantWorking managerCompletes daily checklists & leverages tools for high performing shiftsEnsures SOPs are being followedEffect daily Labor cost, COGS and sales – portioning, waste, labor managementMonitor daily cash managementHandle guest interactionsLeads culture, service model, & core values during each shiftDrive speed of service and sense of urgencyResponsible for safety and security during shift2. Support team member developmentSupport team member and manager trainingSupports team member accountability through documentationProvide employee development and through training and shift coachingAssess performance and provides feedback to team member and general managerSupports recruiting through screening/initial interviewsProvide accurate promise times for every order and update regularlyUse deployment charts every shiftBuild culture of recognition through use of our Rockstar cards3. Support Financial PerformanceManage speed of service/quote timesManage labor during assigned shiftManage food cost, waste, and inventory during assigned shiftSupport ordering & inventory managementMaintain and manage equipmentAccountabilities:Keeps General Manager promptly and fully informed of all issues (i.e. problems, unusual matters of significance and positive events) and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of actionCreates a positive working environment with positive actionsAble to perform all position responsibilities and performance objectives in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies and proceduresMaintains a favorable working relationship with all company employees to foster and promote a cooperative working atmosphere, which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, and efficiencyResponsibilities:Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. With input, support and approval from the General Manager or Upper Management, responsibilities include screening applicants, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Qualifications/Requirements:Must be 18 years or olderEducation & Experience: A high school diploma or GED is preferred, or equivalent work experience. Hectic work environment with occasional periods of big workloads.
