This is a hybrid, part-time position requiring 1–20 hours per week, with on-site presence as needed based on customer and team requirement.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Set up, operate and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment critical for contract deliveryAssist with management of upcoming relocation of office, warehouse and R&D laboratoryPerform a wide range of mechanical engineering tasks, including design, procurement and maintenance of various mechanical systemsAssist with execution of prototype tests in R&D laboratoryAssist with installation of mechanical system prototypes on ships and land-based mock-ups.Travel up to 25% to Navy Sealift Command locationsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Naval Architecture8+ years of relevant mechanical engineering experience4+ years of experience with filtration systemsExperience reading and generating technical drawingsExperience generating high-quality design and analysis reportsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with the US DoD, including active duty, government civilian, or support contractor.Ability to generate complete, high-quality 2D drawing packages.Clearance Requirements:US Citizenship required and possess a current or active Top Secret Clearance.Physical Requirements:Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.Must be able to assist with prototype testing and installation, including lifting up to 50 lbs. and handling of materials and operation of manual and power tools.Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.The projected compensation range for this position is $116,400.00-$194,900.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
