We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team. As a veterinarian in our new state‑of‑the‑art hospital (opened on June 20, 2025) you will be responsible for providing high‑quality medical care and surgical care to a variety of companion animals. Responsibilities Conduct thorough examinations of animals and diagnose illnesses or injuries Develop and implement treatment plans for companion animals based on their conditions Train to perform or perform surgical procedures, such as spaying/neutering, pyometras, tumor removals, eye enucleations Administer vaccinations and medications to prevent and treat diseases Educate pet owners on proper animal care, including nutrition, exercise, and grooming Collaborate with veterinary technicians and other staff members to provide comprehensive care Maintain accurate medical records for all patients Stay updated on the latest advancements in veterinary medicine through continuing education Requirements Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school Valid North Carolina state veterinary license within 1 year Proficiency in animal catheterization, animal restraint, and general animal care techniques Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively educate pet owners Ability to handle dogs and other animals with care and compassion Knowledge of practice management software Clinic HQ preferred, but not required Minimum 1–2 years of experience in shelter, non‑profit, emergency or private practice settings Willingness to learn and grow with a new start‑up hospital Ability to work and thrive in a fast‑paced environment Desire to improve the lives of our area’s most vulnerable animals and owners Surgical training or enthusiasm for surgical training under a veterinarian with 15 years of surgical experience Willingness to relocate to the greater Charlotte, N.C. area If you are passionate about providing exceptional veterinary care and making a positive impact on the lives of animals, we would love to hear from you.
