Network Operations Analyst - Overnight Shift

NOC / SOC Analyst

Hybrid - La Jolla, CA (hybrid, one week onsite one week remote, alternating)

3rd Shift (overnight): Sunday-Thursday | 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Contract through June 2027 (extension possible)

Join our client's 24/7 Network Operations Center supporting a large enterprise environment with thousands of network devices and access points. This role is ideal for someone with NOC, SOC, or Network Support experience who enjoys troubleshooting, monitoring alerts, and coordinating incident response.

What You'll Do

• Monitor network and security alerts using enterprise monitoring tools
• Perform Tier 1 troubleshooting of routers, switches, VLANs, and connectivity issues
• Investigate logs and network events and escalate issues when needed
• Create and manage incident tickets through resolution
• Coordinate communication during outages and network incidents
• Support network changes, access requests, and port/VLAN updates
• Document troubleshooting steps and incident outcomes

What We're Looking For

• 2-5 years of NOC, SOC, Network Operations, Technical Support, or IT Infrastructure experience
• Basic understanding of Layer 2/Layer 3 networking
• Experience supporting Cisco environments
• Familiarity with routers, switches, VLANs, ports, and network monitoring tools
• Experience working in a ticketing system
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently on overnight shifts
• Network+ or equivalent networking knowledge
