We are seeking a full-time Music Teacher & Assistant Teacher to weave music into the daily life of the classroom while supporting children and teachers across the school.
This is a fully integrated role —both offering music experiences and supporting classroom life with children infants through 5 years of age .
Role Overview- Facilitate open-ended music experiences (voice, rhythm, movement, instruments)
- Support classroom routines, caregiving, and transitions
- Collaborate with teachers and contribute to the pedagogy team
- Observe and respond to children’s interests
- Background in early childhood, music, or related field
- Experience with young children (infants/toddlers preferred)
- Open to or experienced in Reggio Emilia
- Must meet Washington State Department of Children, Youth, and Families requirements (background check, MERIT, STARS)
- Able to work respectfully in both non-sectarian and Christian school environments
- Full-time, 35 hours - 40 hours/week (Mon–Fri, between 7:30am–5:45pm)
- Active role: must be able to work with young children (infants–5 years), including kneeling, squatting, lifting, and floor-based engagement
