R105108 Clinical Operations Manager (RN) – Campus HealthCenter Allendale, MI Full Time R105108 This position serves as the primary operational leader for daily clinic activities and is responsible for coordinating patient care delivery, staff workflow, and clinic operations within the Campus Health Center. Primary Duties: Lead and coordinate daily clinical operations to support safe,timely, efficient, and student-centered care. Coordinate patient flow, clinical staffing, room assignments,and daily workflows in collaboration with nurse practitioners,medical assistants, office staff, and the medical director. Supervise assigned clinical support staff, including hiring,onboarding, scheduling, work delegation, performance evaluation,coaching, competency assessment, and professional development. Provide nursing assessment, triage, patient education,medication administration, care coordination, and other directnursing services as needed and within the registered nurse's scopeof practice. Address operational and patient-care concerns in real time andfacilitate appropriate escalation to the director, medicaldirector, or another level of care. Collaborate with the medical director and healthcare providersto implement and maintain clinical policies, standing orders,protocols, and evidence-based practices. This position does notindependently supervise the clinical practice of advanced practiceproviders. Oversee systems for diagnostic testing, laboratory results,referrals, medication follow-up, and other clinical activitiesrequiring timely review and completion. Lead infection-prevention activities, including staffeducation, exposure-response procedures, communicable-diseaseprecautions, and compliance with applicable clinical safetystandards. Coordinate vaccine and medication management, includingstorage, temperature monitoring, inventory control, administrationprocesses, documentation, and response to storage or handlingconcerns. Maintain clinical emergency readiness, including emergencyequipment, medications, staff BLS and emergency-responsecompetencies, and participation in universityemergency-preparedness activities. Coordinate clinical staff orientation, ongoing training,competency validation, and maintenance of required licenses andcertifications. Lead and participate in quality-improvement activities,including incident review, chart audits, patient feedback, workflowevaluation, outcome monitoring, and development of correctiveactions. Support compliance with applicable healthcare, privacy, safety,laboratory, and accreditation requirements and assist withregulatory and accreditation readiness. Collaborate with the director, medical director, campuspartners, and local public-health authorities regardingcommunicable-disease surveillance, prevention, and response. Monitor clinical supplies, equipment, medications, and relatedexpenditures; review invoices; coordinate purchasing; and provideinput regarding budget and resource needs. Monitor clinical access, utilization, patient experience,workflow, and quality indicators and use findings to recommendoperational improvements. Foster an inclusive, respectful, and collaborative clinicalenvironment that supports student well-being, health equity,teamwork, and continuous learning. Participate in departmental and university planning andrepresent clinical operations on assigned committees orworkgroups. Perform other duties as required or assigned byleadership. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accreditedinstitution. Current, unrestricted license as a registered nurse in theState of Michigan. Current Basic Life Support certification. Three (3) years of relevant professional nursing experience inan ambulatory, primary care, urgent care, community health, publichealth, or comparable clinical setting. At least one (1) year of experience providing clinicalleadership, staff supervision, team coordination, or comparableleadership responsibilities. Demonstrated knowledge of nursing assessment, clinical triage,medication administration, patient education, and appropriateescalation of care. Demonstrated ability to supervise staff, delegateresponsibilities within applicable scopes of practice, assesscompetencies, provide feedback, and address performanceconcerns. Knowledge of infection prevention, immunization practices,medication management, clinical safety, and emergency-responseprocedures. Experience implementing clinical policies, standing orders,protocols, workflows, or evidence-based practices. Experience participating in quality improvement, incidentreview, chart auditing, performance measurement, or relatedpatient-safety activities. Knowledge of applicable healthcare privacy, documentation,workplace safety, and regulatory requirements. Proficiency with electronic health records and the ability touse clinical and operational data to monitor performance andimprove services. Demonstrated organizational, problem-solving, anddecision-making skills, including the ability to establishpriorities and respond effectively in a dynamic clinicalenvironment. Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectivelywith healthcare providers, staff, students, university partners,public-health agencies, and community providers. Experience providing culturally responsive care and workingeffectively with diverse populations, including individuals whohave experienced barriers to healthcare access. Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise soundprofessional judgment, and work independently within establishedauthority and scope of practice. Working Conditions: Clinical office environment.
