Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years hospital experience License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS preferred; CCRN preferred Must-Have: 2+ years of hospital experience BLS and ACLS certifications Description: General Comments: Unit highlights include assignments according to acuity and skills. The unit uses all ICU equipment including ventilators, NXStage, Arctic Sun, and GE Cardiac Output monitors. The documentation system utilized is Meditech. Floating policy is as needed. Preferred skills include Meditech experience. Procedures performed in the unit involve central line placements, bedside procedures like thoracentesis and dialysis catheter placements, cardioversions, intubations, and other ICU procedures. Patient experience required includes MICU/MSICU. Dress code includes royal blue scrubs for RNs. Nail policy requires clean and healthy nails, with no artificial nails or gel. Hair must be neat and clean; extreme styles or colors are not allowed. Beards, mustaches, and sideburns should be clean and neatly trimmed. Hair must be pulled back if shoulder length or longer. Tattoos should be covered whenever possible. Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited. Additional unit guidelines and attendance policies will be followed.
