What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and help to de-escalate concerns involving patients, visitors, and staff.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including hallways, waiting areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, while observing and reporting unusual activity.
• Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity in accordance with site-specific procedures and healthcare location protocols.
• Document incidents, observations, and security-related concerns, and communicate relevant information to site contacts, supervisors, and/or emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Hospital-required vaccines are required.
• Ability to work in a hospital morgue environment is required.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
• A minimum of 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.
• Ability to restrain individuals in a hospital environment is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
