Role Description The Universal Banker is a full-time, on-site role based in Clearwater, FL. This position is responsible for providing day-to-day customer service at the branch, including opening and servicing deposit accounts, processing transactions, and addressing customer inquiries. The Universal Banker will handle cash accurately at the teller line, assist customers with loan applications and basic lending questions, and support branch sales efforts by identifying opportunities for additional products and services. The role involves maintaining a high level of professionalism, ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulations, and contributing to a positive, welcoming branch environment. Qualifications Demonstrated experience with deposits and basic bank account services, including opening, maintaining, and servicing customer accounts. Strong customer service skills with a focus on relationship building, problem resolution, and a professional, respectful approach to every client interaction. Proven cash handling skills, including accurate transaction processing, balancing a cash drawer, and adhering to security and compliance procedures. Foundational knowledge of loans, with the ability to assist customers with applications, explain basic terms, and refer complex issues to lending specialists. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to clearly explain products, policies, and procedures to diverse customers. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced branch environment. Comfort with banking systems, basic computer applications, and learning new technologies used in branch operations.
