This is a Full Time Position in Med/Surg Compensation Range: $33.58 to $50.38 Benefits: Medical, Dental, Life, Retirement, Paid Time Off Position Classification: Non-Exempt

Essential Functions and Basic Duties

• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Identifies barriers to effective communication based on psychosocial, literacy, financial, and cultural considerations.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary May precept student nurses and new hires.
• Employs critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, and take appropriate action.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Partners with the healthcare consumer to implement a patient centered plan of care.
• Demonstrates caring attitudes and behaviors to develop therapeutic relationships.
• Uses evidence-based interventions and strategies to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Integrates critical thinking and technology solutions.
• Delegates according to the health, safety and welfare of the patients we serve.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 16 years of age (21 for driving positions)
• Must be able to legally work in the United States
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and breath alcohol test (if applicable)
• Must complete employee health meeting

Education/Licensure/Certification:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Unencumbered RN License – Colorado or Compact State required
• Current Certification BLS- required
• ACLS – required within 1 year
• PALS or ENPC – required within 1 year

Experience:

• Med/Surg experience preferred
