About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President & Assistant General Counsel to join its Office Division leasing team. The successful candidate will be a seasoned leasing attorney with a strong background in office building leasing transactions. Key responsibilities for this role include providing transactional and operational legal counsel, supporting litigation management, and ensuring policy and procedure implementation and compliance. The role demands an individual with outstanding analytical, writing, and negotiation skills, who can manage the full lease drafting process and provide day-to-day legal advice to the Division's leaders and operations team. The candidate should be adept at managing legal risks, navigating complex legal challenges, and be able to build and maintain trusted relationships with diverse stakeholders. Applicants for the Vice President & Assistant General Counsel position at the company should have a law degree from a nationally recognized law school, be admitted to the California Bar, and have a minimum of 10 years' of real estate experience, with a focus on office building leasing. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of thriving in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, and possess exceptional organizational and time-management skills. Experience in both private practice at a leading law firm and an in-house legal environment is preferred. The role requires a professional with a strong educational background, a proactive approach to legal issues, and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects while delivering timely results.
