Senior Electrical & Applications Engineer (West Roxbury, MA) Key Responsibilities Lead all aspects of electrical design, testing, and validation for new and existing products. Provide expert guidance in analog and mixed‑signal circuit design for metrology‑grade instruments. Review and approve schematics, PCB layouts, and component selections. Ensure designs meet required performance, reliability, safety, and compliance standards. Maintain focus on long‑term stability, accuracy, and calibration integrity. Maintain and update technical documentation, spec sheets and BOMs. Management and Supervision Lead and mentor a small team of engineers and technicians. Allocate resources across design, R&D, and production support priorities. Improve design methods, documentation, and quality control processes. Work closely with production, calibration, and sales to resolve technical issues and meet customer requirements. Provide direct technical support to customers (remote only). Project and Strategic Oversight Define project scope, budgets, and schedules with senior leadership. Contribute to IET’s technology roadmap and long‑term product strategy. Interface with suppliers, customers, and partners on technical specifications and requirements. Support all stages of the product lifecycle, including prototyping, testing, certification, and production transition. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering. 5+ years of circuit design experience, ideally in test, measurement, or precision instrumentation. Proven expertise in analog circuit design, including amplifiers, dividers, bridges, and precision references. Strong knowledge of metrology principles—calibration, uncertainty, and temperature coefficients. Hands‑on approach to troubleshooting and validation. Comfortable in a small‑company environment where engineering, production, and management work closely together. Preferred Experience Analog design experience in instrumentation. Understanding of resistance, capacitance, and inductance standards, bridges, and LCR instrumentation. Strong documentation and communication skills suited to calibration‑grade design. Electronic Calibration and Repair Technician (West Roxbury, MA) Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience. Full time with benefits. Responsibilities Calibration, adjustment and troubleshooting a variety of electronic instruments and test equipment. Computer‑controlled resistance, inductance and capacitance decades. Resistance, capacitance and inductance standards. Megohmmeters. Milliohmmeters. LCR meters. Requirements MUST have electronic calibration experience preferably with an ISO‑17025 accredited calibration lab or similar experience such as PMEL, and TMDE. Testing and troubleshooting experience down to component level utilizing schematics, handheld multimeters and other bench instruments. Experience with test instruments including handheld multimeters, Fluke 8508A 8.5‑digit reference multimeters, oscilloscopes, resistance, inductance and capacitance standards. PC skills including Microsoft Excel and Word. Ability to read and follow schematics, assembly procedures and calibration procedures. Excellent soldering and electronic assembly skills. Familiarity with GenRad and esi test instrumentation is a plus. Electrical Engineer (West Roxbury, MA) Work authorization: United States (Required). Full‑time with benefits. Responsibilities Responsible for all aspects of engineering, from product design to sustaining engineering on a variety of test and measurement instruments and standards. New product development and product line management. Management of engineering team. Design of analog/digital circuits and assemblies. Debugging PCBs using test equipment (DVM, scopes, function generators). Development of schematics and PCB layout using Diptrace. Creation of BOMs and mechanical drawings as necessary. Support in A2LA technical responsibilities such as calculation of measurement uncertainties, proficiency testing, quality control, and performance of internal audits. Sales Support Responsibilities Creation and updates of datasheets, manuals, and other sales collateral. Website updates for new products, posting sales collateral, and creation of technical content.
