General Function The Personal Banker I position will provide an exceptional customer experience by cultivating, maintaining, and enhancing long‑lasting relationships with existing and prospective customers. The role processes teller transactions and works as a member of the platform staff. It consults with customers to understand and address their financial needs, providing solutions that span across the customer’s lifecycle through our consultative sales and service process. The banker is responsible and accountable for risk, follows policies and procedures, drives a positive customer experience, and consistently identifies, assesses, manages, monitors, and reports risks. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Create a memorable customer experience by cultivating, maintaining, and enhancing relationships in an assigned book of business through proactive outreach in person, over the phone, or other channels as appropriate. Use a consultative approach to uncover and identify customers’ needs while tailoring recommendations, solutions, and advice. Maintain working knowledge of products, services, and processes offered. Collaborate with internal partners to ensure customer needs are met and all problems are resolved. Analyze customer credit data and related financial information to ensure customers receive appropriate solutions aligned with their needs. Provide customer support reinforcing the value of current and new technology. Process teller transactions and adhere to balancing guidelines. Follow the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other related policies, modeling ethical behavior expected from every employee. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Knowledge, Skills And Abilities High School Diploma/GED and 6 months customer service experience, or college degree, or equivalent military experience. Demonstrated ability to build comfort with new household acquisition and deepen customer relationships. Ability to professionally represent Fifth Third Bank in verbal and written communication. Exhibits business acumen. Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions. Requires SAFE Act registration at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS). Working Conditions Normal office environment. Extending viewing of computer screens. Personal Banker I – Lewisville Location: Lewisville, Texas 75067. The base salary for this position reflects the range of salary levels for all roles within this pay grade across the U.S. Individual salaries within this range will vary based on factors such as role, relevant skillset, experience, education and geographic location. In addition to the base salary, this role is eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan, with any such payment based upon company, line of business and/or individual performance.
