Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU position in Sanford, NC, requiring at least 1-2 years of ICU experience and active ACLS, BLS, CPI, and NIH certifications.

Details

• Night shift position, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• 13-week contract
• 8-bed ICU/CCU unit in a 137-bed acute care hospital
• Patient population includes all ages
• Patient ratio of 1:2-3 in the ICU
• Common diagnoses include respiratory failure and high-acuity conditions
• Floating required with a ratio of 1:6
• Every other weekend required
• On-call required as needed
• Charting via Cerner EMR

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI/HWC/MAB, and NIH Stroke Scale — AHA-issued certifications required
• Minimum 1-2 years of ICU experience required
• High-acuity ICU experience preferred
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
• Travelers may wear scrubs of any color; casual wear is not permitted
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
• The facility is Joint Commission-certified as a Primary Stroke Center and ACC-certified as a Chest Pain Center
• Located in Sanford, NC, with easy access to Raleigh, Durham, and the Research Triangle
