Contract Robotics Installation Technician

Wilmington, NC | Start Date: June 8 | 2‑Month Contract

We are currently hiring motivated Installation Technicians and General Laborers for a high‑visibility contract robotics installation project inside one of the largest distribution warehouses in the country. This project involves the installation and commissioning of advanced robotic systems, including 20 robotic arms, 40 sub‑stations, and internal site fencing.

Technicians and general laborers will work hands‑on with tools, follow detailed diagrams, support material movement, and assist with warehouse commissioning activities.

Pay is based on mechanical aptitude test results:

• $24/hr – Mechanical Installer (passed mechanical aptitude test)
• $20/hr – General Labor (did not pass mechanical aptitude test)
• Weekly pay every Friday

Monday–Friday

7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

• Install robotic arms , sub‑stations, and internal site fencing on mezzanine and sub‑mezzanine levels
• Operate hand and air‑powered tools to commission towers per diagrams
• Transport and secure materials using pallet jacks
• Follow step‑by‑step instructions for installation and wiring
• Assist with warehouse cleaning, organization, and commissioning tasks

• Support warehouse commissioning and cleaning
• Assist with robotic arm and station assembly
• Use pallet jacks for material movement, strapping, and cataloging
• Follow diagrams for tower commissioning
• Conduct wiring support and ensure safe material handling
• Perform moderate to heavy lifting as required

• Lift up to 50 lbs consistently
• Strong attendance and reliability
• Ability to take direction and shift between tasks
• Comfortable working in a contract or temporary role

• Active Amazon distribution center under construction
• Environment may be loud, dusty, and crowded
• High visibility on site; professionalism is required

• Start Date: June 8
• Contract Length: Approximately 2 months, depending on project progress
• Dress Code: T‑shirt, jeans or long pants, and steel‑toe boots
• Avoid loose or baggy clothing
• PPE Provided on Day 1: high‑visibility vest, safety glasses, hard hat, gloves, earplugs
• Steel‑toe shoes/boots must be provided by the worker
• Compliance testing required

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
