Employment Type: Full-Time

Shift: Nights & Weekends

Hours Per Week: 36 Hours/Week

Hiring Range: $42.10- $55.23 (This rate/hiring range includes the shift differentials)

The posted pay range contains shift differentials.

• Weekday evening shift - additional 10% plus $2.00 per hour
• Weekday night shift - an additional 15% plus $3.00 per hour
• Weekend day shift an additional 10%
• Weekend evening & night shifts an additional 21%

The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develops a plan of care based on diagnosis.
• Implements and monitors patient care plan and equipment. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition. Performs advanced respiratory care modalities.
• Evaluates respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcome.
• Educates the patient and family about the health condition and provides information about community support groups and other available programs.
• Responds to emergency resuscitation team code.

Education

• Associate's degree, requires Licensed Respiratory Therapist
• New York Board of Respiratory Therapy

Licensure / Certification / Registration: Required Credential(s)

• BLS Provider obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date
• Licensed Respiratory Therapist New York Board of Respiratory Therapy

Preferred Credential(s) :

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• Neonatal Resuscitation Certification (NRC).
