A contract opportunity is available for a Licensed Practical Nurse to work within an elementary school medical complex for the upcoming academic year, from August 2026 to June 2027. This position offers consistent weekday hours, Monday through Friday from 8:15 am to 3:15 pm, totaling 32–35 hours per week. You’ll collaborate in a shared office with a full-time RN, ensuring comprehensive care and support for students with diverse health needs. This supportive environment values continuity and welcomes the potential for an extension into future school years for those who integrate well with the team.

Desired Experience and Skills:

• Active LPN licensure with good standing.
• Previous experience in a school setting or pediatric/child healthcare preferred.
• Familiarity with routine health assessments, medication administration, and emergency response.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with staff, students, and families.
• Ability to build rapport with children in a nurturing, professional manner.
• Flexibility and a collaborative mindset for a busy school environment.

Your Responsibilities:

• Assist the school RN with coordination and delivery of daily health services.
• Provide first aid, manage chronic conditions, and administer medications as prescribed.
• Support health education initiatives and promote wellness throughout the school.
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation in line with school policy and regulations.
• Communicate with families regarding student health issues as needed.
• Participate in planning for students with individualized healthcare needs.
