Clinical Psychologist (PhD/PsyD) – Behavioral Health

Bronx, NY
Salary: $115,000 - $125,000+ Annually
Full-Time

 

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Clinical Psychologist to join a growing Behavioral Health team. This role provides an opportunity to deliver evidence-based mental health services across outpatient and nursing home settings while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological and behavioral health assessments using evidence-based screening tools.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical findings.
• Provide psychotherapy utilizing evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Behavioral Activation, and Crisis Intervention.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment recommendations as needed.
• Collaborate closely with primary care providers, psychiatrists, care managers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Provide crisis intervention services and perform risk assessments when necessary.
• Refer patients to psychiatric services when appropriate.
• Participate in care coordination and interdisciplinary case reviews.
• Engage patients who have limited utilization of behavioral health services through outreach initiatives.
• Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation.

 

Qualifications

• Doctoral Degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology.
• Active New York State Psychologist License.
• Experience providing psychotherapy and behavioral health treatment.
• Enrollment in Medicaid and Medicare is required for this position.
• Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus but not required.
