Machinist

Job Summary The Machinist is responsible for supporting tooling performance, maintenance, and optimization within a manufacturing environment. This role ensures tooling meets quality specifications, supports production efficiency, and adheres to safety and environmental standards. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, troubleshooting ability, and a continuous improvement mindset. Key Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance on tooling to ensure optimal performance and longevity Inspect and measure tooling to verify conformance with specifications Validate specifications for new tooling and ensure readiness for production Reduce changeover time through process improvements and efficient setup practices Ensure compliance with ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 14001 standards Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Identify and implement efficiency improvements to increase productivity and throughput Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement efforts Diagnose tooling issues, including evaluating damaged components and determining repair or replacement needs Preferred Qualifications CNC mill programming capability Experience with IQMS and Microsoft Office applications TIG welding skills Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems and hydraulic cylinders #J-18808-Ljbffr Viking Plastics
