Supervisor Housekeeping

Environmental Services Supervisor
Supervises the daily activities of environmental services associates in assigned areas, acting as a liaison between environmental services associates and management to ensure service excellence.
Minimum Qualifications
Education, Certification, and/or Licensure:
1. Three (3) year of housekeeping experience with one (1) year previous supervisory duties.

1. High school diploma or equivalent
Core Duties and Responsibilities

- Assigns and coordinates the department workflow and inspects work to ensure that standards are met.
- Schedules staff shifts, may perform housekeeping duties in instance of staff shortage
- Investigate and address complaints regarding poor housekeeping service.
- Provides training to the housekeeping staff and maintain staffing levels within budget.
- Regularly takes inventory of cleaning supplies and ordering stock as needed.
- Suggests ways to increase productivity through the use of labor saving equipment or supplies.
- Assists in personnel matters within department.
- For facilities with specialty accreditation requirements: Completion of annual required education related to specialty accreditation as defined by accreditation standards. Training may be completed through CBLs, trainings, In-services, and competency validation.

1. Must have physical ability to perform cleaning tasks such as mopping, reaching and bending and operating floor equipment such as vacuum cleaners, autoscrubbers, buffers, etc.
2. Must meet Department of Labor's Heavy Duty Standard.
3. Capable of wearing appropriate PPE for an extended period of time

4. Must be able to read and follow written work assignments.
