Nuclear Med Technician-Nuclear Medicine-Fulltime-Days

Position Summary This position is responsible for performing the full range of Nuclear Medicine procedures using radiopharmaceuticals and related chemical substances. Responsibilities include providing quality patient care, ensuring timely throughput, performing quality control of stationary and portable scintillation equipment (SPECT, gamma cameras, Geiger‑Mueller counters, well counters, dose calibration devices, and ancillary equipment), conducting diagnostic studies on SPECT and Gamma cameras, creating and programming study‑specific protocols, and supporting ACR accreditation efforts. On‑call duty (evenings, weekends, and holidays) is required. Required Qualifications Graduate from an AMA school of Nuclear Medicine Technology. Qualified to obtain and hold a Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification from the state of California. Current California Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification. Current national ARRT(N) or NMTCB license. Current American Heart Association BLS certification. Minimum one year of acute hospital experience (training inclusive); preferred. Proficiency in computer use. Demonstrated ability to perform assigned duties, provide customer service, and communicate effectively in English. Ability to maintain appropriate work pace and collaborate across the health system. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge and experience in all Nuclear Medicine procedures. Familiarity with university and medical‑center policies, procedures, and forms.
